Citrus House

The Citrus House gets its name from the client's love of saturated oranges and greens. We were engaged to create more functionality within the most used space within their home. The kitchen/dining room. The space needed to cater for dinner guests, casual family socialising and quiet morning lounging.  

Boxy built-in seating was influenced by the home's architecture, kitchen design and existing white base palette. The long orange seating extends beyond the dining table and appears to float on it's plinth base. At the end is a raised surface to rest your coffee cup or wine glass. A large bi-folding window enhances the sense of space and blurs the line between in and out, especially so in warmer months.

A black-stained ash daybed gives opportunities to inject further colour and personality within it's under-seat open shelving both to the front and end of the unit. 

The wall-mounted String shelving is a modern classic piece that functions as an entry console, hiding away everyday items as well as providing additional surface space for a speaker and other special items.
