Design and Build a large Queenstown-style barn on a steep site, with a bridge that connects the home with a large deck and pool area.

The site was situated on the side of a cliff and required major engineering solutions in order to connect the home with the pool area, by way of a large deck on top of a bridge. The client further wanted to complete the home in a very short period of time. This was approximately 40-60% faster than what would be the standard timeline for a project of this magnitude.

We worked very closely with the engineers, Nancekivell, to ensure the bridge could be built in a time and cost efficient way. This included additional consultancy meetings and collaborative problem solving which resulted in a successful outcome for the client. Building this home on a tight timeline meant that our planning had to be extensive, while also allowing for some flexibility along the way. Materials were sourced well in advance while the team worked tirelessly to ensure all milestones were achieved on time and budget.
