As we reflect on the success of our recent office factory project - Daman office and factory building, I pay tribute to the pivotal role played by Unique Constructions, the builders responsible for turning our plans into reality. Their dedication to the project and the attention to detail ensured a fantastic outcome – one recognized by the Bronze Award in the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards 2023.

I would like to extend a special commendation to Steven Jin from Unique Constructions. Steven and I have had the pleasure of working together for over a decade, and throughout these years, our relationship has transcended the professional boundaries and blossomed into a remarkable friendship. His tenacity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to excellence have been instrumental in the success of our projects.

This office factory project was a significant undertaking, with a mission to create a facility in adherence to both New Zealand and Chinese pharmacy laws. Steven and the entire team at Unique Constructions navigated this challenging endeavour with absolute precision and efficiency. Despite the scale of the project, they ensured an exceptional level of cleanliness, rivalling a hospital operating room, which is a testament to their commitment to the highest standards.

The project was not without its obstacles. Initially, we planned for the factory machinery to be set up by experts from overseas. However, visa complications necessitated a change of plans. It was here that Steven and the Unique Constructions team truly showcased their resilience. They stepped up, communicating extensively with Chinese engineers, and ensured the successful setup of the packaging production line.

This instance served not only as a demonstration of their technical proficiency but also as a testament to their admirable cross-cultural communication and teamwork skills. The seamless operation of the production line today stands as a tribute to their hard work and dedication.

The success of this project is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and resilience of Unique Constructions, and particularly Steven Jin. I am privileged to have had the opportunity to work with such a dedicated individual and look forward to many more years of successful collaboration.
