The Edgewood Creek Residence spans two sloped lots in Snowmass, bringing together ski-in, ski-out access and a landscape defined by creeks, ponds, and waterfalls. From the beginning, the design focused on preserving the natural character of the site while creating a home that felt deeply connected to its surroundings.
The main residence was positioned alongside the ski slope, allowing the water features to remain largely untouched and become an integral part of the experience of the home. Arrival happens across a bridge that spans the creek and waterfall below, creating a quiet transition into the residence. Traditional mountain materials, including reclaimed timber trusses and stone, are paired with expansive glass and cleaner contemporary detailing to create spaces that feel warm, open, and enduring.
