Creating a sophisticated, moody bachelor pad using a dark palette – that was the brief for this two-bedroom apartment. Maximising space was key, and two striking features of this apartment are the coffered ceilings, which mark different areas, and the black-stained timber walls, which double as cabinets. The largely open-plan area utilises natural light yet features stunning black hues throughout in a variety of treatments such as sheer curtains, mirrored Italian vintage coffee tables, and luxe carpet. Elsewhere, grey stucco walls add softness and texture, enriched by accents of intense turquoise.
