Espaso Verde is an award-winning landscape design company operated by Charlotte and Jason Pedersen.

They have been operating in Hawke’s Bay for 15 years. 

The whole team is passionate about bringing creative and functional gardens to life with a sense of style and atmosphere while considering the style of architecture and its surrounding environment.  

Charlotte - Senior Designer   

Charlotte is Espaso Verde’s principal designer. Charlotte studied Landscape Design and Construction at the Waikato Institute of Technology based at The Hamilton gardens and holds Dip-Tech Landscape Design and Cert Horticulture, Charlotte has over 20 years of experience in the industry and has designed some stunning gardens throughout Hawke's Bay and NZ.

Much of Charlotte’s inspiration comes from her travels in NZ and worldwide, she combines this backdrop with her love of art, colour and design to create innovative and inspiring settings. Charlotte’s passion for plants and attention to detail forms the base of her elegant style and practical functional approach.

Charlotte comes from a family of talented gardeners and grew up talking green. She has done the hard graft working in the implementation team as well as the mindful design work –  it’s part of the reason why she is so successful in creating gardens for others.

Jason

Jason is Espaso Verde’s Project Estimator. He oversees the installation of the designs and coordinates with the site Project Manager ensuring projects meet the budgets he provides.  

Jason has extensive experience in landscape construction and has developed clever site management skills. 

He has a good knowledge of materials, site works and plants and how they thrive and works well with Charlotte to get the best out of a landscape. He and Charlotte have worked together at Espaso Verde since 2007 and in that time they have combined their skills and knowledge to create beautiful gardens that are giving their clients ongoing pride and much enjoyment for years to come.
