Perched above the Hauraki Gulf, this multigenerational family home was designed as a forever place one that would reflect not just the clients’ lifestyle, but their values, culture, and connection to land and sea.
Inherent Design led the full interior design, crafting a space that draws from the family’s Hindu heritage and spiritual worldview while honouring the natural beauty of its coastal setting. Rich contrasts of light and shadow, bespoke colour palettes, and layered natural materials bring both softness and strength.
Every space has meaning from the sun-filled pooja (prayer) room to the cinema with its starlit ceiling. The kitchen anchors the home with calm presence and thoughtful storage, while colour becomes a guide for movement and emotion throughout the interior.
Designed through challenge and resilience, this home is a testament to care, culture, and collaboration. It’s a place of joy, rest, and quiet celebration.
