Renovation and Refurbishment - Balmoral​

The objective of this residential interior refurbishment was to create a bright open-plan, luxurious aesthetic for a growing family. 

​The staged refurbishment required the expansion of several areas in the home. By improving the ceiling design in the living and dining room areas, it became possible to increase the flow of light and expand the space. A new laundry, powder room, study, and en-suite for the downstairs bedrooms were also incorporated into the cohesive design.

​Cradle developed a cutting-edge kitchen design that harmonised with the home's new aesthetic to become the key focal point of the project. Corian benchtops were chosen to provide a beautiful and durable surface, allowing for a brass edge detail to seamlessly integrate with the surrounding tiles, caesarstone, and joinery. The entertaining hub features a beautiful wine bar with complimentary elegant brass edging and mother of pearl handles, a recurring theme throughout the refurbishment.

High-end finishes are a defining factor of this luxury residential design. As such, the client wanted to create a statement using some key materials. Mutino tiling on the kitchen island and in the living area niches achieve the desired effect. Lighting also plays an important role throughout the space and is used to highlight the materials and the expansive ceiling voids. Lighting effects are achieved with the addition of concealed LED lights, recessed LED downlights and a striking black linear up/down LED profile.
