Kawhia Transportable Home

When Karen Baigent was after a transportable home to reside in overlooking Kawhia Harbour she looked no further than Modern Building Solutions (MBS). After viewing numerous one-bedroom models online Karen decided upon MBS due to its architectural design and practicality. Karen commented, “MBS cabins truly stand out from the rest….and there are numerous cabin builders to choose from. The quality finishes both inside and out was a deciding factor in choosing MBS. The price was competitive and the customer service, second to none.” Karen chose MBS-Kowhai, the one-bedroom, one-bathroom 29m2 model that’s easily transported using a hiab truck with no pilot vehicle needed. With bi-fold doors for a fantastic inside-outside flow and Ironsand colour steel with cedar features, the MBS-Kowhai blends beautifully in a bush and beach environment. Karen was impressed with the design and build process MBS offered, “John at Moderns was instrumental in ensuring the ordering and building process was stress-free. After viewing a similar cabin at the MBS workshop, I spent time with John discussing my requirements and customising my cabin to suit. John’s attention to detail and his regular communication during the building process gave me peace of mind and confidence in MBS and their processes.” “Three years on, I’m wrapped in my tiny house. It’s comfortable, practical and I believe, far superior in its appearance and finishes to others on the market.” MBS has a proud history of building beautifully crafted, innovative cabins and modular, transportable homes. Established in 2014, MBS had one goal: to create change in the market place, providing high-quality affordable buildings that reflect personalities and change the way people live their lives.
