Products Used: Cover Stain Oil Based Primer/Undercoat Stain Blocker, Resene Quickdry Primer/Undercoat, Resene Lustacryl (Waterbourne Enamel), Resene Sonyx Semi Gloss, Resene Lumbersider Low Sheen and Paint Tech Roof System.
Restoration Overview:  Cleaned, prepared & painted old (never) treated boards & battens and major & minor dwellings and painted the roofs.

The work

Cleaning:

• Full chemical clean was done on the house and roof.

Boards & Battens:

• Sanded back all fascia’s, barge boards and soffits.
• Applied cover stain to facia’s and barge boards.
• Applied quick dry primer to all fascia’s, barge boards and soffits and all boards/battens.
• Applied epoxy bog, contract fill and gap throughout including every board and batten.
• Applied 2 top coats of Lustacryl to fascias and boards.
• Applied 2 top coats of Lumbersider low sheen to boards and battens.

Roof:

• Applied a 3 coat system to the roofs.

Windows/Doors/Joinery:

• Scraped/sanded, oil base primer, bogged contract fill, gapped and applied quick dry primer.
• Two coats of Lustacryl semi gloss was added and all windows had to be taped.
• Applied 2 top coats of Sonyx semi gloss to soffits.

The result

A very tired old, never been treated board & batten home now painted white and looking as new. It’s ready for it’s new life of hosting weddings.
