As from its name the Lake Tarawera House can be found in a prominent position lakeside of Rotorua’s Lake Tarawera .Surrounded by the natural beauty of this lake this design combines both the warmth of cedar and the durability of concrete, as well as showcasing Huniera stone. The open-plan scheme which also includes high racking ceiling helps capture the incredible landscape that surrounds this home. The function and form of the Lake Tarawera House follow influence from the contours of the site and its unique location, these contributing factors allows this design also to blend into its surroundings.
