Mackelvie Street Retail: A vibrant blend of retail, commercial, and hospitality spaces that enhances the Ponsonby Road precinct while respecting the heritage of adjacent Victorian architecture.

Mackelvie Street project comprises retail, commercial and hospitality tenancies. The building responds to the scale and proportion of adjacent Victorian row shops within the chic shopping precinct of Ponsonby Road, Auckland. By activating the rear of existing heritage buildings, we were able to develop additional retail frontages, and create new laneways and courtyards which have contributed to the regeneration of the area.
A white cement sheet facade veils the forms. The perforated pattern is drawn from the decoration of surrounding heritage buildings.
