By James McConachie Builders
Our 'fearless leader' as we often refer to him, James McConachie has a wealth of experience in the construction industry. A true artisan, his dedication and commitment to his craft saw him rapidly advance early in his career. A desire to adopt a more sustainable, responsible and ethical approach to building was a principle motivation behind starting James McConachie Builders.
Whether on the tools with the boys or engaging with clients, architects, suppliers or sub-trades, he relishes the opportunity to share his passion for green thinking and living. His ability to inspire and motivate ensures the team is always on point.
Evan Maguire is the man in charge when James is away. The first to arrive on site and often the last to leave, Evan loves building almost as much as he loves the New Zealand bush.
Since completing his apprenticeship with James McConachie Builders, Evan has instinctively stepped into the leading hand/foreman role. Taking ownership of jobs; his attention to detail and his hands on style of leadership means the James McConachie Builders commitment to quality is never compromised
James Hoggan is the other guy who calls the shots when James M is not around. James spent time in construction throughout North America working on various remote backcountry and wilderness projects before returning home and joining the team in early 2020. The skills and knowledge he applies to each and every job ensures our meticulously high standards are maintained across all our sites.
Josh and Kurtis are our eager, energetic apprentices; a young and dynamic bunch of guys capable of tackling a wide variety of construction projects, from high end complex architectural builds to the trickiest of renovations.
While we are all like minded individuals committed to quality and sustainable practices, our varied backgrounds and experience compliment each other perfectly, providing a well rounded, enthusiastic team, excited to be a part of your better future.
Our work speaks for itself, so take a look at our projects, past, present and future.
