When John Burton wanted to consolidate his coffee and tea operations he wanted new offices supplemented by a modern, efficient warehouse.
A sleek, contemporary building was achieved, with attractive inter-linkage of spaces and good visual flow.
The premises also boast a specialised tasting room for clients to come and taste the different blends of coffee and tea, a highly sensory experience which this space has been designed to enhance.

We love architecture, not just for the beauty found in thoughtful spaces, but for the role it plays in creating liveable buildings, communities, and cities. At Gel we understand that careful design can help shape the fabric of our country for the better. We’re known for designing homes and workplaces that are beautiful to look at, practical to build, and a joy to live and work in. We are new home, urban regeneration and masterplanning specialists. Sustainability is in the DNA of all our projects, with considerations such as efficient land use, using locally-sourced products, optimising solar access and reducing waste at the forefront of our thinking. Gel Architects are an NZIA (New Zealand Institute of Architects) registered practice.
