Welcome to the Matangi eHaus project completed in 2020, where contemporary design meets sustainable living. The clients dreams of a Passive House with high performance European-made joinery came to life in this thoughtfully designed and constructed home.
The inclusion of the Eurotect Flashing system enhanced the thermal performance of the whole home by allowing the builders to recess the joinery into the frame line. The Eurotect Flashing system also provides a seamless and aesthetic finish to both the cedar and concrete brick cladding.
With performance on this project a priority, the Eurotect Flashing system offered proven results and straightforward installation. Approved for use in Passive Houses, it integrates with the clients selected Dofpner Wood Aluminium Joinery to achieve exceptional thermal performance.

Eurotect was born out of a desire for one simple system to provide a weathertight solution for the installation of European window joinery in New Zealand buildings that complies with the NZ Building Code.
Coming from a high-performance building background, we regularly work with European-style windows, so based on our experience, we developed a universal solution for installing European window joinery in a way that met the NZBC, one that is straightforward to install, widely compatible, and is tested and approved under NZ conditions.
