MIT Manukau and Transport Interchange bring together a tertiary learning facility with a railway station and bus interchange, creating a major opportunity to increase participation in further education by making the facility accessible to the people of Manukau and beyond.
ECC supplied the outdoor lighting that illuminates the pedestrian pathways around the facility. We chose Woody from iGuzzini mounted on poles due to its high output, low glare performance, and Lumascape inground uplights.
ECC has built a reputation for providing the absolute finest in European designer lighting and furniture. ECC was established in 1909 by George Levett Thorburn and is now run by grandson Mike Thorburn. Mike has been the driving force behind the development of an extensive range of designer lighting and furniture products over the last 30 years.
ECC continually searches the world for innovative designs and inventive solutions to meet increasingly complex lighting and design requirements. Every item in our showroom has been personally selected with an eye for the unique and original, something we have a true passion for. We firmly believe in building long term relationships with manufacturers as evidenced by our 20 year association with iGuzzini, Flos and Artemide; brands which draw on the talents of some of the world's leading designers.
