Classic bungalow renovation in Northcote Point featuring a modern kitchen, restored traditional elements, and an expansive rear extension completed in 2019.
This renovation included the restoration of the road frontage of a prominent bungalow in the heritage suburb of Northcote Point. An extension to the rear of the property doubled the size of the building. While the traditional bones of the house were maintained the kitchen provides a sleek and modern contrast with Carrara marble tiling and benchtops with a striking black corten steel range hood and floating wire mesh glass shelves. Recycled kauri flooring was laid throughout the house in keeping with its era. Traditional archways in the hallways were restored with new arches built to continue the style down the extended entrance that flows straight through the house to the rear yard. Tongue and groove black panelling in the toilet added a dramatic flair while also keeping with the bungalow style
