This renovated home had great bones and interesting lines, but the owners had plans to re-configure the living/dining area, to create a better connection between the spaces. The re-jig also included the kitchen which sat squarely at the heart of the area to be opened up. The styling was dated and ready for a refresh.
Designer, Kyla Potter at Blakhaus design, created a contemporary kitchen solution that retained the original layout, but transformed the look and feel of the space through clever use of colour and materials.
Corian solid surface on the island, and stainless with a brushed finish across the back wall. A striking colour palette of warm whites, with accent panels in Bestwood charred oak timberland finish, delivered an integrated look with strong lines and shapes matching office nook and wine storage tied the look together.
