The brief at Pinehill School was very straight forward: “Can we please have a welcoming entrance area?”. The area around the parking lot and entrance to the school hall was a grassed area with Pohutukawa trees which were planted by the class that leaves each year, as a reminder of their time at Pinehill School.

The design team put their heads together and added some feature old railway sleepers and lighting so the area can be enjoyed at any time of day, all year round. All works were completed in the school holidays to have minimal disruption to teachers and pupils. The principal, Tracey Kelsey, staff and students were extremely happy with the result when starting their classes again after their holiday break. We look forward to work with Pinehill School on their next landscaping project.

Our landscaping family consists of professional landscapers and project managers with credible, practical experience and a number of landscape apprentices who are at varying stages of their apprenticeship. We have an in-house design team that will present you with a landscaping plan after visiting your site, listening to your ideas and bringing fantastic landscaping solutions for your outdoor space.

At our yard we have built a showroom where our designers can guide you in what materials would best fit your project, e.g. paving, decking, lighting etc. You can also provide an existing plan to quote your project from and then we will guide you through the landscaping works from start to finish. Luijten Landscaping has a nursery that enables us to provide a large selection of the highest quality plants. If the nursery cannot provide the variety or quantity of plants for your project we will happily source them from one of our nationwide suppliers.
