Iconic Construction are proud to have worked on this large development on the edge of Hamilton. This property consists of 27 units across 5 buildings with a mix of 1,2 and 3 bedroom homes.
The subgrade was of poor quality, so construction methods were used that were developed from post Christchurch earthquakes to give us a solid foundation to build from. A lot of thought and care was required on this development, particularly around bracing elements required for each floor.
The build schedule involved delivering 3 of these buildings well in advance of the final 2 and working with tenants for these new builds was key to the development's success. To reduce risk of hold ups due to weather conditions Rigid Air Barrier systems were utilised to speed up interior construction while the exterior cladding was installed.
