Pohutukawa Drive Rebuild.

This was a truly memorable project for the Proactive Build team. Following the devastation caused by Cyclone Gabrielle in February 2023, Hawke’s Bay was left reeling. The cyclone brought record rainfall and gale-force winds, causing rivers to burst their banks and flood homes throughout the region, including our clients’ recently completed new build.

The floodwaters reached 1.5 metres inside their home, destroying the interior and all of their belongings. Faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding, our clients entrusted Proactive Build to restore their home and manage the project from start to finish.

Restoration Details
This project involved extensive work to bring the home back to life:
– Structural Remediation: All gib and cladding were removed, and the frames were treated and sprayed to protect against mould.
– Upgrades: New windows were installed, and the external cladding was fully replaced.
– Interior Restoration: The entire interior was rebuilt, including the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, and toilets. Every detail was carefully restored to its former glory.
