Reef House is situated in Leigh, looking over Daniels Reef on the East Coast, north of Auckland. Dave Strachan of Strachan Group Architects was commissioned to design this coastal home.

"Dryden WoodOil in Platinum was used on the interior and exterior, it looks very similar to what weathered cedar looks like, so we get a consistent look from day one. With the migrating properties of Dryden WoodOil, which it offers, we know that's good for timber as it settles into its own new environment."

Dryden's WoodOil is a migrating oil that migrates deep into the timber. It is an excellent product to use in a coastal environment as it has water-repelling properties preventing the absorption of moisture deep into the timber, reducing excessive warping, cupping and splitting of the timber over time.
