Rural Oasis
For this project, the whole design of the built and green space is influenced by the impressive remnant Puriri tree that exists on the site.
The entranceway to the house is framed by a river-like water feature that passes underfoot as you approach the front door. This living entranceway connects you with nature with birdsong from within the Puriri tree and bubbling water flowing underneath.
This was an extensive design that champions native New Zealand plants and ecosystems.
