Better known as ‘Zac and Tess’s House’ following its national exposure on the popular Grand Designs NZ television programme, this family home is a contemporary expression of the classic South Island ‘Crib’.
"This house is like a fine Swiss watch–the attention to detail is extraordinary. Finely perched in southern dunes, the home is orientated to address the best aspects of the surrounding environment and to generate interesting architectural volumes. The elegant external proportions combine with the dark and robust cladding to provide a structure that is much more than fit for purpose in this exposed coastal location."
