Developing a concept based on the traditional Mehndi art form provided a consistency of warm earthy tones and materials. Here we see a celebration of pattern and form wrapping the surfaces of the interior, bringing together the multi-level plan. The contemporary treatment of the interior planes, bring about a collection of intimate spaces, all visible from the entry area. Visitors are greeted by 24 incandescent lights that follow the pitch of the stairs to the main dining area. Escape is offered in the private room where nine large pendant lights mass to form a fabric chandelier, providing a flexible space designed for large and small groups. This area features a clean pale palette that is finished with warm lighting tones. Above the main dining level raised platforms provide intimate booth seating that contrast the lower zones and create drama.
