A sculptural Palmerston North home shaped by colour, curves and connection.
A Sculpted Gathering is a contemporary Palmerston North home designed by Emma Brown Design around the rhythms of everyday family life. At its centre, a pool becomes the social heart of the home, connecting generous living spaces while still allowing for moments of privacy and retreat.
The interior is defined by a confident use of colour, curved forms and layered textures. Arches, sculptural joinery and bespoke details create a playful yet cohesive visual language, demonstrating how thoughtful design and carefully selected materials can achieve a highly individual result without relying solely on high-cost finishes.
This expressive approach continues into the bathrooms, where Robertson Bathware products were selected to balance personality with everyday performance. Elementi Cura and Uno tapware provide clean, contemporary forms, complemented by Splash Plus showerware, Verona vanities and coordinating Elementi accessories.
Rather than treating the bathrooms as separate functional spaces, the specification supports the wider design language of the home, creating interiors that feel considered, practical and connected to the project’s strong architectural identity.
A Sculpted Gathering has received significant design recognition in 2026, including selection as a finalist in the Best Design Awards Colour Award Spatial category. The project was also recognised at the 2026 ADNZ Resene Architectural Design Awards for the Taranaki/Whanganui/Manawatū region.
