These Auckland homeowners reached out to Renovation Partner Kim Reiche to update their 1970s home with a layout change and a new bathroom.

Adopting an open-plan layout improved functionality and flow, and high ceilings make it feel spacious, while the exposed timber beams add industrial flair. The minimalist colour palette offers a modern feel, but a retro-red acrylic splashback is a subtle nod to the 1970s soul of the home.

In the freshly renovated bathroom, a serene neutral colour scheme, large freestanding bathtub, and spacious walk-in shower give a spa-like atmosphere.
