Surry Hills Village.

Surry Hills Village is a vibrant new urban village developed by Toga Group that sits on the boundary between Surry Hills and Redfern in Sydney. It is an award-winning multi-million-dollar mixed use redevelopment of the former Redfern Shopping Centre site and includes residential, offices, restaurants, cafes and The Eve Hotel.

The precinct has been designed by SJB Architects, overseen by award-winning Principal Director Adam Haddow. Described as “a series of liveable villages clustered around a central garden” it consists of 122 apartments in a mix of 4 – 7 story blocks, six exclusive 3 bedroom terraces and a Hotel comprising 102 Guest rooms. All of these connect to a lively community precinct of retail, restaurants, cafes and bars.

Expella’s ventilation solution needed to be discreet yet effective inside these high-end residences. With bespoke interiors boasting finely crafted finishes, it was important that essential services such as ventilation did not impact the design outcome.

Expella worked on the mechanical ventilation system design, and supplied and installed inline ventilation systems to all 128 apartments in the development and 102 Hotel bathrooms. Our popular Linear Slot Grille provides a discreet vent for the inline ventilation system in all of the bathrooms.
