By Wendy Shacklock Architects
Tawharanui Pavilion was inspired by a clients’ recent visit to Sri Lanka and their purchase of a large rural property on the beautiful Tawharanui peninsula.
With view and sun in opposing directions, the largely glazed pavilion will capture both aspects. A contrasting service building is fully enclosed by rainscreen and completes the rural-building reference.
The dramatic roof forms inter-relate in a complexity which both links and contrasts the opposing forms.
This project is currently under construction.
