The Auckland Council recently upgraded the iconic Tepid Baths in central Auckland. As part of the refit, ECC supplied the lighting to the main pool area.
iGuzzini’s Lingotto surface-mounted, metal halide wall floodlight was used, which didn’t interfere with the building’s heritage status.
An asymmetrical optic was chosen, which emits its greatest intensity of light at 45° and limits direct glare, enabling large spaces to be illuminated. Also, the high IP66 IK07 rating provides extra protection against moisture and is suitable for indoor pool environments.
ECC has built a reputation for providing the absolute finest in European designer lighting and furniture. ECC was established in 1909 by George Levett Thorburn and is now run by grandson Mike Thorburn. Mike has been the driving force behind the development of an extensive range of designer lighting and furniture products over the last 30 years.
ECC continually searches the world for innovative designs and inventive solutions to meet increasingly complex lighting and design requirements. Every item in our showroom has been personally selected with an eye for the unique and original, something we have a true passion for. We firmly believe in building long term relationships with manufacturers as evidenced by our 20 year association with iGuzzini, Flos and Artemide; brands which draw on the talents of some of the world's leading designers.
