The High Life

Sitting high above the buzz of Queen Street in Auckland City, this apartment refurbishment transforms a tired inner-city space into a sophisticated, timeless home designed for entertaining and relaxation. The apartment was fully stripped back and completely relined, with new flooring carefully installed around existing structural elements — all while maintaining a clean, cohesive finish. The design brief called for understated elegance, with every element chosen to enhance rather than overpower the space. With a strong appreciation for British vintage design, the clients sought a classic aesthetic with a sense of history and warmth. A key part of the design was integrating their cherished collection of vintage furniture and artwork. Bespoke cabinetry, fixtures, and fittings were designed to complement and showcase these pieces, creating a seamless blend of old and new. The result is a sophisticated inner-city apartment that celebrates the owners' personal style while offering warmth, function, and enduring charm.
