A Modern Showpiece in Melbourne

The Lantern Apartments, a striking residential development in Melbourne’s vibrant Collingwood neighborhood, is a testament to contemporary design. Envisioned by Plus Architecture for developer Blue Earth Group, the building’s distinctive black and white façade, resembling cascading ribbons, is a captivating urban landmark.

Rising nine stories, the building offers 84 apartments and an expansive rooftop amenity space featuring a cinema, dining area, barbecue facilities, and a bar, all sheltered by a curved slatted pergola. The project’s prime location, surrounded by lush parklands and convenient transport links, enhances its appeal.

To realize the building’s unique architectural vision, Studco’s Engineering Team collaborated closely with Diangel Constructions. The complex geometry of the façade necessitated a custom-engineered steel framing solution, deviating from standard approaches. Studco’s expertise in delivering tailored solutions was instrumental in supporting the building’s distinctive design and expansive window openings.
