With a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency aluplast's windows and doors were the perfect product to meet the brief. The triple glazed IDEAL 4000® and smart-slide systems enhanced the aesthetics, livability and comfort of these homes to provide high performing window solutions to meet and exceed a Nation Wide Energy Rating Scheme (NatHERS) energy rating of 7 stars+.
Within New Zealand, uPVC windows and doors are gathering more and more attention from every type of client.
Clause H1 of the New Zealand Building Code, which regulates the energy efficiency of buildings, was updated in November 2021 and the first phase of implementation began on Thursday 3rd November 2022.
This will see initial increases in thermal resistance or R value requirements for roofs, walls, floors, and windows and doors in effect for any buildings submitted for consent from this date.
Further increases follow on 1 May 2023 and again on 2 November 2023.
With these new restrictions the cold aluminum frames that are a common place in so many New Zealand homes will become a thing of this past.
Instead, compliance will require double-glazed low E IGUs combined with thermally broken aluminum, uPVC or timber frames.

Take the stress out of new builds and renovations
With the new building restrictions Warm Windows uPVC windows and doors still meet new building restrictions until 2 Nov 2023, beyond this date we will only require a very minimal change, which means our windows will become a long term cost-effective solution for clients.
Let us take all the stress out of your new builds/renovations by ensuring there are no issues with your windows and doors. Our uPVC windows will be the best long term investment whether your property is a rental, your forever home or a holiday home.
Main benefits of Warm Windows and our products:
aluplast were the Window and Door supplier on The Block Tree Change Australia, watch on ThreeNow.
Warm Windows provides European-style double-glazing windows, made with globally recognised Aluplast uPVC systems. Aluplast is known for exceptional quality.
With more than 15 years of experience and having successfully completed a whopping 3000-plus projects, Warm Windows is a name you can trust. We quickly realised that awning windows and staking doors were becoming more popular in New Zealand, so we worked with our suppliers to create a product line-up that is uniquely suited to local conditions.
We’ve developed our own uPVC system that corresponds with New Zealand building code and installation procedures. The Kiwi market requires an extended warranty of 15 years on joinery profiles, so we work exclusively with top-quality components that are up to the task.
Our approach is simple; always build custom doors and windows. That’s the only way to ensure that the fit is perfect every time, for every house. Because each unit is fabricated individually, we can offer an extended list of design options and hardware configurations.
We have worked very hard to create a strong reputation in the New Zealand joinery market, not only for the quality of our double-glazed doors and windows but also for our terms of service. The best evidence we can provide is feedback from our customers. Feel free to check out our glowing reviews at No Cowboys.
