In the midst of a busy inner city is an Urban Oasis offering a pleasant and peaceful space in which to escape from everyday life. This provides refuge, relief and is a contrast to the busy surroundings.
Asian inspired elements bring a Zen-like influence to the space. The use of
Shou Sugi Ban – an ancient Japanese wood preservation technique is applied to multiple surfaces revealing clean, distinct lines which inherent textural beauty. Bambusa Gracilis attracts auspicious chi energy with its thin, slender structure it is said to bring energy to your home and reinvigorate your being. An Acer palmatum dissectum ‘Crimson Queen’ is positioned within a cut-out of the deck bringing colour and seasonal interest.
Water introduces movement, reflection and visual interest. It helps to release negative ions into the surrounding atmosphere therefore having a profound effect on our physical well-being.
This Urban Oasis combines the basic elements of structure, plants, water and stone with simple clean lines to create a tranquil retreat in which to relax.
