For SmartGrass clients in Merivale, the decision to invest in an artificial lawn for their townhouse was not taken lightly. They had wanted to create a garden space that served many purposes, all year round. What do you do with a small backyard, a dog and a desire to create an entertaining space?
The challenge
With their section being only 10m wide combined with the existing landscape it contributed to a cramped feeling in the yard that made it uninviting.
Add Alfie their labradoodle into the mix, and there were brown spots on the lawn and muddy paw prints being tracked over the deck and inside the house. With a dog as part of the family, they knew whatever lawn they chose, it needed to be hard-wearing and long-lasting. They just weren’t getting the enjoyment out of their outdoor space that they wanted.
The solution
SmartGrass introduced their clients to a Garden Architecture specialist who helped design a new landscape that made the most out of the small outdoor living space. To create the illusion of more space, the new design included remodelling the garden edging to expand the lawn area and make it more inviting. SmartGrass completed the transformation with the installation of their new lawn. Thanks to the low maintenance, unique dog-friendliness and durability of the EarthSeries Oasis 35 Artificial Turf, they have an amazing space to enjoy all year round.
