Sitting proud on a private ridgeline in Weiti Bay, The Ridge is a contemporary country retreat with uninterrupted views that stretch from rolling farmland to the horizon of the Hauraki Gulf. Designed by architect Nick Rowe and brought to life by Ze Build, this architectural new build strikes the perfect balance between sharp design and coastal rural soul.
Designed to Sit with the Land
With its crisp black palette, Accoya timber board and batten cladding, and light filled interiors, The Ridge nods to modern farmhouse style while making its own architectural statement. Every line was considered, from the symmetry of the roofline to the careful positioning of windows that frame the landscape like art. The 450m2 two-winged structure, crafted with precision, exemplifies Ze’s commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Built for Quiet Luxury
Inside, Trinity Interior Design brought a soft sophistication to every space. Oak floors underfoot, curated textures, and custom joinery that speaks to understated elegance. The heart of the home, an open plan living, kitchen and dining area that opens out to a sprawling deck, blurring the line between indoors and out.
This home was designed not just to impress, but to endure.
Every Detail Considered
Set in the exclusive Weiti Bay, a gated community atop a picturesque hill with direct beach access, the construction project in Ahumoana Rd showcases Ze Builds prowess in executing an architectural masterpiece. The project's unique challenges, including the batten cladding detail with hidden fixings requiring intricate screw hole plugging and drilling, as well as the height of the second-story apex. The Ridge was built to outperform in every sense.

“We were first introduced to Zane and his Ze Build team over 18 months ago. Ze Build had built our daughter and son-in-law's beautiful country home in Wainui. From the first meeting we were super impressed by Zane and his team. Extremely accommodating and many brilliant ideas. The Ze Build team have attended all of our concept and design meetings and given great input right through. We are 2/3 through our build now and they are producing something so unique. Ze Builders have so much attention to detail and so clever. They take great pride in their work. We are building in the gated community of Weiti Bay, every week the properties get inspected by the body corp. This is the only property to have been awarded the "best contractor award", this is awarded for cleanliness, politeness and complying with the Weiti Bay building regulations. In our opinion, very well deserved. Zane and his team make this building journey easy and enjoyable.”
