Located on the hills overlooking Wellington harbour, with expansive views around the region, the new planting was designed to be viewed both from the house above and to create a striking entrance from the street level below. Access was challenging, as are the coastal conditions, so a selection of evergreen hardy plants were selected to continue the curved forms of the hard landscaping.

With stunning mountain views to the north also, and strong prevailing winds, plantings are being established to create sheltered outdoor living areas enjoyed from the upper level of the home.

We work autonomously or collaborate with other project consultants to produce robust design outcomes for our clients, with a strong knowledge of the construction and maintenance requirements to ensure they continue to look good. All projects reflect our Client’s emphasis on great design and an honest expression of the country and culture where they are located.
