West Harbour

Website

The house plays heavily with zones – a room within a room concept.

The kitchen is the hub of entertaining, opening out to a covered entertaining deck and pool. This is where the resort style features heavily with lush tropical planting and a turquoise mosaic swimming pool.

The kitchen and living were the first zone to be designed in detail and helped form the detailing used throughout the project. Detailing of the cabinetry doorstyle, with a 10mm solid timber frame was carried through into the fireplaces in the two living areas flowing off the kitchen. The whole house was renovated over two-years, taking the house back to its bones and starting afresh. Having raised their two children in this home it was time now to update the house in a way that worked for their new empty nest. We re-orientated the kitchen 90 degrees for the island to face into the living room and out to the pool area, allowing an addition of a walk-in scullery. Every little detail was carefully planned, measured and then samples were made by Hewe the cabinetmakers, to approve before production.

Interior Designer Daniella Norling, design director of Trove Interior Design was employed to design the rest of the interiors and furnish the home. We worked closely on colours and materials in the kitchen to ensure a cohesive feel throughout the home, always keeping our clients vision front of mind.

Bathroom

The vision was to create the focal point pivoting around a freestanding bath, accommodating separate his and hers zones. Designing a luxurious bathroom that was a part of the bedroom, maximising the view and creating an open master suite through the use of double cavity sliders.

Double cavity sliders from bedroom invite you into the ensuite where two custom vanities; his and hers, on opposite sides of the room cater to the couples individual needs. These were positioned to allow for their own private spaces to cleanse and pamper.
