Whitianga Community Menzshed

Retirement for many is a time of emotional and mental turmoil as they adjust to a life that no longer revolves around the routines, social connections, and expectations of a career. This change can unfortunately bring about feelings of social isolation, a lack of purpose, a decline in self-belief and self-worth.

The Menzshed was founded to foster a culture of connectedness and friendship, and a sense of belonging, where men feel valued by sharing their knowledge and experience.

This can boost men’s mental health in terms of creating a safe space where men feel comfortable speaking with their peers who understand their problems. It provides a place where men can meet, make useful contributions to their communities, and addresses social isolation.

Product used is KS1000RW Trapezoidal Roof Panel with core depth of 70mm in "Woodland Grey" colour.

This came direct from Australia via the port of Tauranga, winding it's way to Whitianga on a HUGE truck.

It is a through fix insulated panel, with a trapezoidal profile and 1000 mm cover width, allowing for fast track and cost effective installation. The entire panel is then installed on the building with no need for common additional products such as building paper, mesh, insulation etc.

The interior look is neat and tidy, with high thermal and fire rating performance.
