Whitianga (on the Coromandel Peninsula) is booming!! Commercial buildings are increasing the retail space, medical facilities and extending the waterways lifestyle experience in our town.

Kupes Crossing development has grown in a staged way over the last 3 years. This latest stage, extending the existing retail space, again used Steel & Tube 0.55mm Plumbdek "Ironsand" COLORSTEEL® Dridex® roofing and cladding technology. Combining a thin layer of specialised absorbent fleece to the underside of the COLORSTEEL® sheet, Dridex® absorbs accumulating moisture from the roof and wall cavity and then releases it when conditions improve making for a drier environment.

With sheet lengths of 24.0 metres, an oversized truck had to negotiate the tricky Coromandel roads in order to reach the site - this job was larger than life! Luckily the weather was kind when the material arrived and we could dedicate 8 roofers to the job of installation and screw-off, completing this mammoth task in 3 days.

We also supplied and installed 175 Industrial Gutter and the nice detail of eye-brow canopies over the entrance ways.

Hidden away is the Viking Envirocald TPO "Grey" applied to the internal gutters.
