Nestled in the suburb of Woollahra, this project unfolds within a beautiful home based in a conservation area, the aim is to maintain a sympathetic approach to the era while incorporating modern elements. The focus lies on seamlessly. Integrating new extensions into the original structure of the house, creating a transitional design that respects the home`s heritage while embracing contemporary living. Utilizing space efficiently is key, especially in the context of the typical Victorian Terrace layout characterized by long, narrow dimensions. Every inch is maximized, with innovative solutions such as transforming. The space under the stairs into a laundry area and utilizing built-in cabinetry with a desk that unfolds to optimize functionality. The downstairs guest bedroom serves a dual purpose, functioning as both a gym and a guest room with a fold-down bed for added versatility. The design strategy revolves around the challenge of working with the elongated layout of the home, with a particular emphasis on optimizing the entire floor for maximum utility.  Through thoughtful design choices and strategic planning, the project aims to create a harmonious blend of old and new, ensuring that every aspect of the space is both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
