Any improvement to a property will naturally increase its value, but does a canopy also improve a property’s appeal and saleability? We asked local real estate agents for their opinion.
Any improvement to a property will naturally increase its value, but does a canopy also improve a property’s appeal and saleability?
We asked local real estate agents for their opinion.
Harcourts’ Scott Larsen says yes, “100% agree, buyers prefer covered outdoor spaces, whether it’s for entertaining outside or for garage space and storage, these are selling points that increase the value of properties. The flow between indoors and outdoors is something prospective buyers like to see when viewing a home with a covered outdoor space.”
In the same vein as a swimming pool, Johnny Clever, from LJ Hookers, agrees that everyone loves to be outside, and a covered outdoor space is no exception. People can live a lifestyle they want by bringing the outdoors indoors.
You can also use outdoor lighting both to make your home look more modern and extend your outdoor living in the dark months, as well as to add security and safety to the area. When you put your house on the market, make sure to mention the features of your outdoor space.
Whether you want to extend the canopy over your parking area, or cover a deck or patio area, now is a great time to talk to Archgola experts about your canopy needs. The rewards may be greater than you thought!
