Creating Inspiring Educational Spaces with McGreals

At McGreals, we know that a great learning environment is supported by smart, durable, and flexible furniture. Our extensive education collection is designed to meet the diverse needs of students, teachers, and staff across New Zealand. From collaborative desks to innovative acoustic solutions, our range helps create spaces that inspire focus and creativity.

Desks & Tables

We offer a comprehensive collection of desks and tables for everything from individual work to large collaborative spaces. The Student Desk is a sturdy option, while the mobile Memo Tablet Table is great for flexible learning. For meetings, the Boost Semi-Circular Flip Table is durable and flexible, and our creative Junior Teaching Tables come in a variety of fun shapes.

Acoustic Solutions

Creating focused, and productive learning environments is essential. Our acoustic solutions manage noise, echo, and reverberation to improve speech intelligibility and reduce distractions. Acoustic Timber and Composition Acoustic Wallcovering reduce sound, while the Milford Freestanding Partitions and Milford Desk Screen Pods enhance privacy.

Smart Storage

Our diverse storage solutions streamline organisation and reduce clutter. Tambour Cabinets and the handle-free Block Credenza provide secure storage. We also offer mobile solutions like the Book Storage Unit and the multi-functional Ako Teacher Station, which includes a whiteboard.

Whiteboards

Our range of writing surfaces fosters collaboration and creativity. Clarity Porcelain Whiteboards offer a "Forever Surface Guarantee," while the Milford Whiteboard is a unique all-in-one solution that integrates a whiteboard, pinboard, and acoustic panel. For mobility, the Litewyte Mobile Pivoting Whiteboard is a great choice, and the frameless Edge Whiteboards can be custom-made to almost any size.

Seating

Our seating collection is designed for comfort, functionality, and proper posture. For multipurpose use, the stackable Hitch Chair and space-saving Hub Folding Chair are excellent choices. The Titan Chair offers an ergonomic option, and modular seating, such as the Arco Modular Series, are ideal for creating flexible and comfortable learning spaces.

Our commitment to the education sector is demonstrated through our successful partnerships with schools and libraries across New Zealand.

Here are some examples of how we’ve helped transform learning environments:

Diocesan School: Durable & Functional Furnishings

Diocesan School for Girls, a top-ranked New Zealand institution, required a fit-out partner who could provide durable and comfortable furnishings for multiple high-traffic areas, including the library, cafeteria, and staff offices. McGreals delivered a full furniture package that prioritised longevity and design, ensuring each piece could withstand constant use while contributing to a refined aesthetic. Key features of this fit-out included:

Specialised Furniture: We provided a diverse range of furniture, including custom Milton Sofas for the library, low-maintenance Trill Bistro Chairs for the cafeteria, and professional Anvil Desks for staff offices.

Seamless Integration: The fit-out successfully balanced visual appeal with practical needs, using items like Palermo seating in guest areas and robust May May Chairs in meeting rooms.

Enhanced Spatial Divisions: We utilised Fin 70 Screens to create functional and visually appealing partitions, improving the flow and privacy within different areas of the campus.

This project highlights our expertise in providing comprehensive, long-lasting furniture solutions that meet the specific and varied demands of a large educational campus.

Churchill Park School: A Modern Makeover

When Churchill Park School sought to update its learning and staff areas, McGreals provided a complete fit-out solution to transform the spaces with a modern, professional aesthetic.

We worked closely with the school to furnish the reception, staff room, and boardroom, ensuring each area was not only stylish but also highly functional. The project included a variety of furniture, from seating and tables to custom storage units. Key features of this fit-out included:

Tailored Spaces: We designed the staff room to be a flexible hub for collaboration with Modella II Leaners and Liberty Barstools, while the boardroom was equipped for professional meetings with a sleek Modella Board Table and Maxim Chairs.

Welcoming First Impressions: The reception area was revitalised with an Easton 2-seater Couch and custom pin boards, creating a modern and inviting entrance for visitors.

Custom Storage Solutions: We incorporated custom wall units and a Cubit Credenza to provide essential, integrated storage that maintains a clean and organised aesthetic throughout the school.

This project showcases our ability to deliver a comprehensive fit-out that enhances the school's atmosphere and provides practical, durable solutions for everyday use.

Katikati Library: A Hub for the Community

For the Katikati Library and Community Hub, McGreals provided a full-service furniture fit out. The project's success was defined by our ability to meet a challenging budget while delivering exceptional quality and design, transforming the space into a beloved community asset. Key features of this fit-out included:

Versatile and User-Friendly Seating: We supplied highly functional soft seating with Milton Ottomans and Romano Chairs, along with versatile, linkable, and stackable Maxim Chairs for community seating.

Value without Compromise: Our team worked diligently to provide a complete furniture solution that adhered to the client's budget, proving that high-quality design and durability don’t have to be sacrificed.

Collaborative Design Process: We provided a full furniture service based on close collaboration, from initial plans to final fabric selection, ensuring the final result perfectly matched the client's vision and the community’s needs.
