Soft serene corner

This peaceful, warm bathroom features the Ava Curve Opaco 1200 Right Corner 1 Drawer Vanity in Tusk with Brushed Bronze Handle, the Oasis 550 Oval Vessel Basin in Coral Pink and the Galaxy 800 Organic Shaped Backlit Mirror all from Plumbline. Complement the bathroom ware with Resene Villa White.

Warm and full of gentle curves, this space feels like a modern sanctuary. The curved vanity adds soft geometry and subtle texture, perfectly paired with the pink hue of the vessel basin. The organic-shaped mirror adds to the softness, while brushed bronze detailing offers a luxurious finish. Pair this space with warm hues like Resene Villa White, Resene Biscotti, Resene Gold Coast or even a gentle pink to match the basin like Resene Ebb.

A natural take on modern elegance

Gentle earthy hues grace this bathroom with Plumbline’s Lima Spio 1500 4 Drawer Vanity Double Basin in Atmoss with Brushed Nickel Handles, Arena Wall Mixer & Spout in Brushed Nickel and Galaxy 500 Pill Backlit Mirror. Keep the walls neutral with Resene Thorndon Cream.

This bathroom plays with muted, earthy tones to create a calming, grounded atmosphere. The vanity, double basins and clean lines feel both refined and relaxed while the brushed nickel tapware and mirrors keep the look cohesive and sophisticated without feeling cold. Pair this vanity with creamy whites like Resene Double Merino and Resene Half Thorndon Cream or tranquil greens like Resene Half Linen or Resene Quarter Lemon Grass.

Classic white done right

White has always been a popular choice for bathrooms, and this space does it well with Plumbline’s Linea Spio 1500 2 Drawer Vanity in Tusk with Brushed Nickel Reflex Handles and Galaxy 1200 Round Backlit Mirror. Continue the barely there look onto walls with Resene Sea Fog.

Bright, simple and refreshingly crisp, this white-on-white bathroom highlights how clean design never goes out of style. The streamlined vanity and backlit round mirror give the space a timeless appeal, while subtle brushed nickel handles add understated shine. This is one design that proves less is more – perfect for those that like a minimalist look. Try popular whites for your bathroom like Resene Black White, Resene Alabaster, Resene Sea Fog or Resene Half White Pointer.

Warm wood and organic textures

Bring nature indoors with rich wood tones. This bathroom features the Reflex Spio 1200 2 Drawer Vanity in Tahoe Walnut with Matt White Reflex Handles, the Reflex Wall Tower 2 Door in Tahoe Walnut and the Vista 1200 Mirror Cabinet. To continue the nod to nature use Resene Quarter Linen on walls.

For a bathroom that feels connected to the natural world, rich timber tones are an ideal choice. The walnut toned cabinetry introduces warmth and texture, balanced by sleek white drawer handles and a mirrored cabinet that doubles as smart storage. Consider adding wood stains to cabinetry like Resene Colorwood Dark Rimu or Resene Colorwood Walnut. And for extra texture, use Resene Half Blanc on walls with Resene FX Paint Effects Medium mixed with Resene Sandcastle.

Dark and cocooning comfort

Make your bathroom into a cocooning retreat with Plumbline’s Prava Opaco 1500 4 Drawer Vanity in Anthracite with Concrete Grey Top, Flute Round Vessel Basin in Charcoal and Frame XL 1200 Rectangle Mirror. Add a touch of warmth to walls with Resene Blanc.

Bold, moody tones turn this bathroom into a soothing, spa-like escape. The matte vanity, charcoal basin and concrete-toned benchtop create a layered, shadowy palette that’s perfect for winding down and the black frame mirror finishes the look with graphic flair. Light some candles, run the bath, and you’ve got a perfect end to a long day. For a soothing space, look to colours like Resene Bud, Resene Double Lemon Grass or Resene Siam, paired with accessories or mirror frames in Resene Nero.

Top tips for bathrooms:

Playing with finishes can dramatically impact the final look of your bathroom. Higher-gloss finishes, like Resene Lustacryl semi-gloss waterborne enamel, are ideal for bathroom trims or cabinetry, as they add a polished shine while being easy to clean.
For walls, opt for a durable low sheen finish, such as Resene SpaceCote Low Sheen, which offers a sophisticated look that’s moisture-resistant, ideal for humid environments.
Opt for the Resene Kitchen & Bathroom range which combines the durability and easy cleanability of a waterborne enamel with added anti-bacterial silver protection and the mould protection of Resene MoulDefender to minimise bacteria and mould growth.
Make sure you treat any moss and mould before you repaint, using Resene Moss & Mould Killer. Otherwise, if you just paint over the mould it can grow through your new paint finish.
Ensure your bathroom is well-ventilated before you start repainting. A well-ventilated bathroom is best for your health, your paintwork and all the accessories in your bathroom.
Bathrooms and powder rooms may be small, but with the right colour and design, they can have a big design impact.
