Properties
Our Timber products can either be Raw, Primed or Stained. Our Staining material is imported from Germany and specifically designed for Timber Windows and Doors. To ensure that all areas of the timber are coated, all finishing is completed prior to any glass or hardware being fitted.
Finishing consists of a four part process.
Prepping
Each unit is bogged, puttied and sanded to ensure that the finish is soft, smooth and consistent.
Priming
The priming (base coat) of the unit by dipping it into a staining tray, which penetrates the timber and treats for rot an infestation, then the unit is hung to try in a controlled temperature enviroment, which generally takes 24 hours.
Re Prepping
Once the unit is dry, it's lightly sanded to ensure that an even and consistent finish is achieved throughout.
Top Coat
It then progresses into the finishing line and the top coat is applied by a spray gun at approximately 400 microns thick (equivolent to 3 coats of paint). The unit is then placed in the drying room which again is at a controlled temperature enviroment.
Windows with standard glass provide little to no insulation properties, and are the thermal weak point in buildings. In an average home, 40% of heat loss and 87% of heat gain is through inefficient glazing*.
An energy efficient window helps minimise the use of artificial heating and cooling, and makes the most of the natural climate resources. Insulglass IGU units are an essential component to minimise the need for artificial heating and cooling, reducing heat transfer by over 50%.
Utilising energy efficient glass has many benefits:
BINQ is Australia’s authority in manufacturing high performance, thermally efficient architectural window and door systems. We specialise in European designs and manufacture using low-conductive materials—Timber and uPVC, catering to residential and commercial projects. Made in Australia, BINQ’s products feature double or triple glazing and advanced coatings for superior energy efficiency and comfort.
BINQ's outstanding design and craftsmanship result in exceptional insulation, thermal performance, and minimal air leakage, including U-values as low as 1.5, far surpassing the industry standard. With a 10-year warranty and cutting-edge technology, BINQ is the best choice for Passive Houses and ideal living environments. Windows and doors are designed to meet the stringent energy efficiency standards prevalent in Europe.
