eSwap - Easy Filter Change

In recirculation mode odours are neutralized by a highly efficient activated charcoal filter. To make life easier, the filter is changed from the top through the air inlet aperture – without having to remove drawers or plinth panels.

Minimum Volume

Always exceptionally quiet – even on high power levels: This is thanks to the optimum airflow and use of an extremely quiet fan. No distractions while you’re cooking and your conversations are undisturbed.

Simple Cleaning

Parts that come into contact with cooking vapours can be easily removed through the accessible, wide air inlet aperture. They can be cleaned in the dishwasher, where they take up very little space. If anything is spilt during cooking, the integrated drip tray safely catches both solids and liquids

Oversized 4/24 Cooking Area

Thanks to the central operating panel and the optimum arrangement of the cooking zones, BORA Basic offers room to cook with 4 large pots measuring up to 24cm at the same time.

Distinctive Design

The cooktop and extractor are completely flush-integrated. Perfect lines and the distinctive design of the air inlet nozzle define this character piece for any kitchen. While the controls are almost invisible in standby mode, during operation they are impressively alluring – thanks to intelligent, blue-white lighting.

Maximum Storage Space

At under 200mm, the low installation height and integrated recirculation unit guarantee maximum storage space for pots and other kitchen utensils in the cupboard below. Even in 60-cm-deep kitchen units, no drawers need to be shortened in recirculation mode. A change from the norm.

Automatic Extractor Control

The extractor power level adjusts itself based on the current cooking behaviour. Constant, manual adjustment is not necessary, meaning that you can focus 100% on your cooking.

RED DOT AWARD 2019

With the Red Dot Award Product Design 2019 the two new product developments, BORA Pure, snatched up the coveted award immediately at market launch. The Red Dot Award: Product Design is one of the biggest design competitions worldwide. In 2019, designers and manufacturers from 55 countries entered more than 5,500 products for the award. The international jury, made up of experienced experts from different specialist areas, has been gathering for over 60 years to find the best, most revolutionary product designs.

AWARD FOR GOOD DESIGN

In the DDC Award Gute Gestaltung 2019, BORA Pure took home the SILVER award and BORA Classic 2.0 scooped one of their runner-up prizes, or AWARDs, both in the ‘Product’ category. The German Design Club – Deutscher Designer Club e. V. – was founded in 1989 and their aim is to increase design awareness, relevance and contents in the German-speaking public sphere. The BORA cooktop extractor increases this design awareness and relevance in the kitchen sphere.

Joining the ranks with BORA's Professional 2.0 in 2017, BORA Classic 2.0 and BORA Pure have been awarded the Chicago Athenaeum’s GOOD DESIGN® Award 2019 in the USA. GOOD DESIGN® is one of the most prestigious and recognised design award programmes in the world. Since 1950, together with the European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies, the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design has been presenting this award in the categories of consumer products, design and packaging design.
