Thermal Performance:

  • Utilizes PIR insulation board with customizable R-values (R2.0 to R7.0).
  • Prevents heat transfer with PIR insulation, ensuring continuous thermal insulation.
  • Maintains cold top roof deck temperature, preventing ice dams in cold climates

Condensation Management:

  • Features a complete vapour barrier layer, eliminating condensation risk by separating internal and external environments.
  • Includes a vented structural rail for airflow and thermal expansion control, further reducing condensation risks.

Construction Timelines:

  • Accelerates construction timelines with early close-in capability using seamless Liner Deck and self-adhesive vapour control layer installation.

  • Offers design flexibility with various top sheet options from the Dimond Range, allowing tailored roofing solutions.
  • Suitable for both roof and wall cladding, with optional acoustic control layers for enhanced acoustic performance.

Other Features:

  • Allows sheet lengths up to 90m.
  • Can be tailored for fire ratings.

  • Not intended for installation over a plywood liner.
  • In coastal environments Dimond Vented Roof Rail to be coated in epoxy primer to prevent corrosion.
  • Roof pitch meets the minimum required pitch for the selected top sheet product.
How it works

The Advanced Vented Difference

Identifying the difference between Vented vs Non-Vented
We recommend the vented roof rail on roof sheets over 25m and in freezing climates as the vented rail allows the top sheet to expand and retract separately from the components below. Additionally, in freezing conditions, it serves as a cold deck, minimizing the chances of ice damming.

Environmental Challenges
Cold climates pose significant challenges for traditional roofing systems, including issues with thermal performance and condensation management. Uneven temperatures and moisture accumulation can lead to problems like ice dams and condensation-related damage, impacting both structural integrity and occupant comfort. Existing methods often fail to provide tailored solutions for effective insulation and vapour barrier needs, resulting in inefficient thermal regulation and increased energy usage.

Addressing the Challenge with the Advanced Vented Solution
Dimond Advanced Vented offers a globally recognised solution to the environmental challenges presented by cold climates. Featuring a PIR Insulation Board core, it ensures continuous thermal insulation with customizable R-values (R2.0 to R7.0). With a complete vapour barrier layer, Dimond Advanced Vented eliminates condensation risk by separating internal and external environments.

Its vented rail design maintains a cold top roof deck temperature, preventing ice dams—a critical feature for cold climate regions. This design enhances thermal performance and speeds up construction timelines with early close-in capability and easy installation.

Dimond Advanced Vented meets weather-tightness and compliance standards, ensuring reliable performance in harsh conditions. Integration with Acoustic Board, Audioperf, enhances indoor comfort effortlessly.

For added robustness, Dimond Advanced Vented integrates seamlessly with other Dimond Advanced Insulated Roof Systems. With its adaptability and efficiency, Dimond Advanced Vented sets a new standard for cold climate roofing challenges, delivering unmatched performance for residential and commercial projects.
