Specifications

EuroSeam Flat-Lock Metal Cladding is a metal cladding profile manufactured from

  • › 0.55 – 0.75 BMT Colorsteel®
  • › 0.70 – 0.90 BMT pre-painted or plain aluminium
  • › 0.60 – 0.80 mm copper finish; or
  • › 0.70 – 1.0 mm zinc.

The profile can be fabricated in a variety of customised shapes and sizes with the option to have patterns pressed in. It can be manufactured horizontally, vertically and in a diamond pattern, which allows designers to have multiple façade options. The vertical pattern can also be used as a roofing profile. The profiles are formed with traditional over- or under-seam folding, forming the flat-lock seam. This allows it to be used for complex out-of-plane shaped facades. The profiles, diamond, vertical and horizontal profiles are typically up to 570 mm x 370 mm in area.

The profiles lock together at the flat seam and are fixed with stainless-steel or hot dipped galvanised angular fixings at 200 mm to a 15 mm plywood substrate. Linked Group recommend the installation of a vertical anti-canning layer between the building underlay and the EuroSeam Flat-Lock Metal Cladding.

Scope of use
  • Flat Lock Metal Cladding must be installed in accordance with all Linked Group requirements.
  • Timber framing must have a maximum moisture content of 18% at installation to reduce contraction and excessive canning.
