A handsome late 18th century Country French Louis XV Commode with pegged mortise and tenon joinery. The contoured apron of the base, is supported by four scrolled feet. The front of the commode is fitted with three large drawers which are carved with three moulded panels, each fitted with either a cast brass pull handle or a key escutcheon. The side panels have chamfered side panels with the top of the commode comprised of two planks. The handles are not all the same with two extremely similar cast brass handles being matched with four exisiting ones. The locks are in working order.
