Stephen Bradbourne has been perfecting Murrine glass-blowing techniques since the mid-nineties. For Bradbourne, inspired by the natural world in Aotearoa, Murrine is the perfect vehicle for creating complex cellular patterns, like those found in nature.

This Green Mosaic bowl features a more open, abstract repeating pattern. Striking as an exhibition piece, or as a functional vessel for the home.

At Monmouth Glass we handcraft exquisite glass objects that people need and use every day. 

Monmouth is a traditional glassblowing studio, established in 2012 by glass artists Stephen Bradbourne and Isaac Katzoff. Our furnace holds 120 kilos of glass, and it is kept molten at a temperature of 1100 degrees Celsius twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. 

Every piece is gathered from the furnace then hand shaped and blown using traditional glassblowing techniques that date back hundreds of years..
